Members of the Association receive the German Studies Review, a scholarly journal published three times each year. The Review contains articles and book reviews of current research in history, literature, political science, related fields, or interdisciplinary
topics. Publication is in the language of submission, English or German. Members of the German Studies Association are the primary book reviewers. 

The Association holds an annual Conference, usually in late September or early October. A Call for Papers is issued in the Winter of the preceeding year. Members receive a Newsletter twice each year. The Newsletter contains information of interest,including news of the Association, material about grants, fellowships, and other information. 

Membership: 

US$30 Regular membership for persons residing in North America. 
US$40 Regular membership for persons residing in other locations. 
US$60 or more. Sustaining membership. Persons may also contribute to the Association by electing to become a Sustaining Member and adding a minimum of US$30 to the dues payment. This contribution may be tax deductible in some countries. 

Membership dues may be paid by: 

1) personal check drawn in U.S. dollars on a U.S. bank
2) Master Card or Visa (give card number, name on card, and expiration date)
3) bank money order in U.S. dollars 

Kindly understand that the different rates are for "residents," not "citizens," since the different rates refer to postage requirements for mailing of publications.
